Armed Forces Refutes Rebellion Allegations on Fighting Near Al-Kurmok

The Armed Forces Wednesday issued a statement affirming falseness of the rebels' allegation that fighting

 

 

 

Khartoum, Feb. 20 (SUNA)- The Armed Forces Wednesday issued a statement affirming falseness of the rebels' allegation that fighting is flaring up near Kurmok town in the Blue Nile State.

The spokesman of the Armed Forces, Col. Al-Sawarmi said that the Armed Forces' troops have quitted Mafo area after inflicting heavy losses of the rebels who attacked the area.

He said that the attacking force was composed to soldiers of the People's Amy of South Sudan State and elements of the North Sector who were backed by white mercenaries who were driving the tanks who were wearing bullet-proof jackets.

Col. Al-Sawarmi said that the Armed Forces had inflicted heavy losses in lives on the aggressor, adding that the Armed Forces have quited Mafor and currentlt preparing to recapture it as soon as possible.
